Children and teenagers can have orthodontic treatment as soon as all of their baby teeth have fallen out, this is usually around 11 years old for girls and 12 years old for boys.
Orthodontic treatment for children is free of charge under the NHS, but there can be two problems going down this route. The first is that the waiting list can be years, and we understand that many teenagers can be self-conscious about their smile so want their teeth straightened sooner rather than later.
The second problem is that the criteria for being accepted under the NHS have recently been made stricter. So only children with very severe problems will get accepted.
This is where Moonlight Braces comes in as we can provide metal or ceramic braces for children and even Invisalign for teenagers.
The best bit is that there is no waiting list!!
